We have to get outside the trance to see it, and we have to see it to resist it. There will be weekly assignments that will require watching TV and making notes to discuss in class. Taking a cue from Jung, Dennis Wier developed the alchemical light show in the 1960’s. For examples, see www.serene.org For two years, every week, he performed these lightshows for private groups. He also did the light show with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention in Los Angeles. Most recently he did a performance at the Dinamo in Zürich, Switzerland. His light show was also photographed by Look magazine and was on CBS News with Walter Cronkite. These light shows produce a trance which can have healing effects when experienced multiple times.
